The i12 Katong shopping center in Singapore now has a digital wayfinding kiosk thanks to ViaDirect and its partner Ascenstar!
The i12 Katong shopping center, formerly Katong Mall and Katong People’s Complex, reopened in 2021 after its major renovation.
It is a large, seven-storey shopping mall in eastern Singapore, at the intersection of East Coast Road and Joo Chiat Road.
In the heart of Tanjong Katong, there are many areas for shoppers to enjoy, including entertainment, shopping, relaxation, and a variety of restaurants. The mall is home to approximately 180 shops such as Cold Storage’s CS Fresh, United World Preschool, Golden Village and Gong Cha, as well as cultural areas.
Owned by Alpha Investments, Keppel Capital and Keppel Land, the shopping center is at the heart of sustainability and ecology. It features systems such as LED lighting, low water consumption facilities, electric vehicle chargers, a food digester to break down food waste, allowing for optimal recycling.
In this continuity, the shopping mall has planned to equip itself with digital wayfinding kiosk to allow its customers to better orient themselves.
ViaDirect has thus renewed its collaboration with the Ascenstar group in order to equip the shopping center with an interactive kiosk. The kiosk contains wayfinding and information software developed by ViaDirect with a 3D map and many other functions.
