Grenoble-Alpes university hospital uses ViaDirect wayfinding and information solutions developed for hospitals!
The Grenoble-Alpes (CHU) university hospital in the South-East region of France has been using ViaDirect wayfinding and information solutions for several months.
Since summer 2018, patients and visitors of Grenoble-Alpes CHU (university hospital) can easily find their way and have access to news and curated information thanks to two ViaDirect wayfinding interactive kiosks.
Active since 1962, Grenoble-Alpes university hospital hosts around 2 120 beds, and has 9000 medical staff, including 2000 doctors, and managed 110 311 admissions through the emergency reception (2017 numbers). Orange Healthcare, a digital division of Orange group, has been a partner on this installation.

Designed by ViaDirect, the Gazelle furniture gives shelter to 1 horizontal screen that display maps and dynamic live information about the hospital.

The 3D interactive map replicates the 15 levels, including a basement, of the Michallon hospital central building where are located the emergency reception, the health care services, surgery service, intensive care/resuscitation department, and technical facility. All buildings and pavilions of the hospital site are also mapped.
As for all previous ViaDirect equipment in numerous hospital facilities, the interactive user interface is designed for fast and intuitive orientation and information access for all kinds of users. And it’s always on 24/24, 7/7.
ViaDirect services include H+2 technical incident maintenance and a D+1 resolution of most incidents thanks to its geo-localized monitoring of the equipment.
