Grand’Place is a multi-purpose regional shopping and cultural centre located in two municipalities, Grenoble and Échirolles. Opened on August 26, 1975, it currently covers 55,400 m² and includes numerous brands such as a 25,682 m² carrefour, BHV, Conforama, the Kateb Yacine media library and many more…
In total, there are approximately 120 brands grouped together in the same area thanks to the collaboration of the two municipalities. The shopping center is the largest complex in the Grenoble area and is planning further renovation and expansion for 2023.
The French shopping center, owned by Klépierre Foncière, worked with ViaDirect as part of its modernisation project with the installation of 3 wayfinding kiosks.
Klépierre, a major property company, has worked with ViaDirect many times in recent years, and indeed, ViaDirect projects can be seen within their complexes: Portet Mall, Markthal Mall, for example.
The Grand’Place center receives around 30,000 visitors every day of the week, so the centres need easy-to-use orientation for its visitors.

3 digital wayfinding kiosks, Gazelle model, were therefore installed in the shopping center in order to facilitate the customers’ journeys, which include the ViaDirect wayfinding and information software, created specifically for the design and space of the shopping complex.
