WHO’S NEXT TRADE SHOW

WHO'S NEXT TRADE SHOW EQUIPPED WITH A WAYFINDING MOBILE APP AND 4 INTERACTIVE TOUCH KIOSKS

1 July 2013
Paris, FRANCE

ViaDirect equips Who’s Next trade show

ViaDirect extends its presence on the market of the trade fairs and consumer exhibitions thanks to its turnkey solution: hardware + software + mobile.

After the G20 summit and the two editions of the UITP, the Who’s Next trade show chose our information and wayfinding solution for its Summer 2013 edition in Paris (Porte de Versailles, 6-9 July). It consists of a mobile app for iOS and Android and 4 touch kiosks.

Who’s Next decided to rent the new generation touch kiosks offered by ViaDirect.

A GLOBAL INFORMATION SYSTEM

The trade show benefits from a centralized information system developed by ViaDirect in order to consolidate all the data: mapping, wayfinding, news, events, and advertisements. This system gathers information from multiple sources: a back office, CSV imports, and web services.

This consolidated data is then rolled out on the different terminals: ViaDirect touch kiosks and ViaDirect mobile apps (Android, iPhone, iPad).

THE TOUCH SOFTWARE

The wayfinding solution benefits from the latest ViaDirect features:

  • Real-time 3D wayfinding of users
  • Multitouch map
  • News and Advertisements display
  • Third-party data integration via Web Services
  • Route and promotions sending on smartphones
  • Animated user interface
  • Predictive search engine
  • Real-time schedule of the events

THE VIADIRECT MOBILE APP

The ViaDirect mobile app for the Who’s Next tradeshow (iOS and Android) is linked to the same information system as the touch kiosks.

Thanks to this application, the trade show visitors can have useful wayfinding and practical information, search for exhibitors or events, create a list of their favorite exhibitors, add events to their calendar…

ViaDirect Mobile for Who’sNext Android: Google Play

ViaDirect Mobile for Who’s Next iOS: iTunes App Store

HARDWARE

The supplied kiosk is from the “Pad” range, a new 40” touch kiosk which uses the latest technologies, from the screen to the touch frame, in order to offer a very slim, yet robust, modern design for public places (ultra-small form factor PC, HD LED display, optical multi-touch frame).

A rear totem helps users to identify the kiosk.
