ViaDirect equips Maison Neuve center

Immochan, the commercial ground rent working for the Auchan shopping malls, began a digitizing policy in several malls in France.

ViaDirect has been chosen for several features:

  • An interactive wayfinding and loyalty solution (kiosk + software)
  • A solution for games and Internet access (kiosk + software)
  • An interactive children area (multitouch gaming table and dynamic display of cartoons)

ViaDirect will first equip Maison Neuve (Brétigny-sur-Orge) in October, and then Haute-Pierre (Strasbourg), L’îlo (Epinay-sur-Seine) and Semécourt (Metz) in November.

The kiosk has been designed by Minale Design Agency, and produced with technical support from ViaDirect which also provided the hardware and produced the kiosk.


The installation is composed of:

  • A double-kiosk (wayfinding, loyalty, Internet, games) with a 40’’ screen, a 22’’ screen, a barcode reader, an NFC reader, and a printer, according to our “îlot digital” concept*.
  • 2 kiosks for games and Internet access with a 22’’ screen
  •  2 wayfinding and loyalty kiosks with a 40’’ screen, a barcode reader, an NFC reader, and a printer
  • An interactive gaming table for children with two 19’’ screens
  • A 46’’ screen for cartoon broadcasting

ViaDirect created a special dynamic display solution, animated through Raspberry Pi hardware for cartoon broadcasting.



Kiosks are equipped with a public Internet access solution with a content filtration, with games proposed by French publishers for young and older kids, and with the ViaDirect solution.

Immochan noticed the ability of ViaDirect to work by Web Service for the entire content (offers, shops, pictures…), allowing a perfect synchronization between the Web, the Mobile and the interactive kiosks while designed in an asynchronous way (locally stocked data) in order to maintain an equal service quality whatever the Internet access.

Kiosks also allow to interface with the loyalty program through barcode and NFC readers and then to print discount coupons.

The other standard features of ViaDirect are deployed:

  • Real-time wayfinding in a 3D environment with a multi-floor view
  • Multitouch map of the mall
  • Search by theme and destination
  • Animated user interface
  • Display of offers and news
  • Real-time monitoring of equipment and incident management the next day (weekends and public holidays included)
