The Exclusive MapWall Design & Features
Unparalleled in ViaDirect’s portfolio, the MapWall was exclusively designed for the Forum des Halles. This unique creation features a duo of screens:
The larger display screen offers an interactive mall map, a categorized list of stores, and dynamic content including current promotions and movie showtimes, ensuring a rich, immersive experience for users.
The smaller screen, a touch-sensitive joystick, controls the larger screen’s display. Selecting a particular floor on the joystick instantly mirrors that floor’s layout and its associated stores. Actions on this touchscreen such as floor selection, point of interest pinpointing, store name search, movie or promotion focus, interactively guide the big screen’s display.
One of the defining features of this kiosk is the integration of a QR code scanner. With a simple scan, visitors can transfer the mall’s map to their mobile devices, making navigation a breeze.
The Software & API Connector Fashion:
The collaboration extended beyond the 2 MapWalls to include the delivery of a software and a destination API connector. The software is tailored for easy and efficient operation of the MapWall, and integrates coherently with the mall’s existing systems. The destination API connector, on the other hand, allows for easy updates and real-time data sharing, further lifting the user experience.
