The Auchan La Défense hypermarket, one of the most frequented in France, located on 3 floors within the shopping center « Les 4 Temps », has been equipped with 3 ViaDirect information and wayfinding multitouch kiosks.
Auchan has entrusted L’île des Médias, publisher of ViaDirect with the complete implementation of the solution: kiosks implementation and design, hardware integration, software, and maintenance. The supplied kiosk is from the “Pad” range, a new 40” touch kiosk which uses the latest technologies, from the screen to the touch frame, in order to offer a very slim, yet robust, modern design for public places (ultra-small form factor PC, HD LED display, optical multitouch frame). A rear totem helps users to identify the kiosk.
The industrialization process reached by ViaDirect teams allowed an installation in only two months.
The application is equipped with the key features of ViaDirect and will be enriched with specific functions dedicated to hypermarkets in the coming months:
- Real-time 3D wayfinding of users
- Multitouch map of the hypermarket
- User-friendly interface
- Search by product category or name
- Search by services
- Disabled person route (use of lifts instead of escalators)
- SMS sending of the map
