ViaDirect Mobile · Accessibility
ViaDirect Mobile voice guidance takes visually impaired people step by step from where they are to where they want to go. It runs on the ViaDirect map your venue already uses, from a simple QR code, with no app to install.

Accessibility · audit report
Audit carried out on 30 September 2026 by Accessibility Sentinel, against RGAA 4.1.2 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 (levels A and AA), with the NVDA screen reader and a complete keyboard-only journey.
How it works
Very large buttons, strong contrast, a search or a list by category. Every choice is confirmed out loud.
When a starting point exists in several places, the phone’s GPS suggests the nearest one.
A large pictogram, a clear instruction, a single button: Next. Level changes are announced clearly.
The phone’s compass shows where to go, the step counter moves the guidance forward, and the app warns as soon as someone heads the wrong way. Tested in real conditions at Verona airport.

For your venue
Voice guidance builds on the ViaDirect map already in place: same places, same routes, same updates.
A QR code at the entrance and a web page: no download, no account.
Compatible with VoiceOver and TalkBack. The app’s own voice can be turned off so everyone can use their own screen reader.
English, French and Spanish, with a natural voice for each language.
Keyboard navigation, screen reader output, contrast and labels checked on every screen: 100% of tested RGAA criteria conformant, no non-conformance found. See the audit report.
Step-free routes with lifts for people with reduced mobility, large touch areas for visually impaired people.
Return on investment
Regulations require free physical assistance for travelers who need it (Air Carrier Access Act in the United States, EU Regulation 1107/2006, ICAO recommendations): a service that generates no revenue.
As the passenger population ages, requests for assistance are rising, and with them operational pressure and staffing costs.
Visually impaired travelers who are able to find their own way do so from their phone: fewer assistance requests to handle, and staff available for those who need them most.
No beacons, no equipment to install: guidance runs on your ViaDirect map and a simple QR code.
Regulations
Since June 2025, the European Accessibility Act has made digital accessibility mandatory for many services, including passenger transport services.
The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requires places and services open to the public to be accessible.
The voice guidance was audited on 30 September 2026 against RGAA 4.1.2 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 (levels A and AA): 100% of tested RGAA criteria are conformant and no non-conformance was found.
Offering independent guidance to visually impaired people makes your venue genuinely open to everyone.
