It is with special pride that ViaDirect announces, with all its partners, the equipment of Futuroscope theme park in Poitiers, France, with their hardware and software wayfinding solution.
ViaDirect and its partners have gathered to install around 30 wayfinding and real time information totems and kiosks throughout the alleys of the renowned Futuroscope (details on side note).
Suited to the Futuroscope needs, ViaDirect software now assists and guides all the park visitors (details on side note).
Flagship of France’s leisure parks, specialized in new technology attractions since its opening in 1987, Futuroscope welcomed 1,85 millions visitors in 2018. July/August 2019 560,000 visitors even broke the year 2000’s last record.
Already known for its numerous high-tech attractions, Futuroscope is launching « Objectif Mars » in 2020, a roller-coaster conceived as a space training camp. The park’s success is such that it has had a dedicated train station of the Paris-Bordeaux TGV line since 2000.
Even if finding its way in the park has always been quite easy, it was only a question of time before the specialist of high-tech and experimental attractions would one day decide to use a high-tech wayfinding system.
ViaDirect is then especially happy to offer, with its partners, a complete solution of totems, kiosks and software able to guide its visitors to one attraction to the other in a precise and playful way.
Thus, while offering the opportunity to quickly find your way, the dynamic displays give visitors access, from anywhere in the park, to a real time and instantaneous overview of all available attractions, including detailed schedules.
Futuroscope requirements being very unique, ViaDirect and its partners have drawn and manufactured custom-made outdoors totems and dynamics displays to best suit Futuroscope wishes and needs.
Also custom-made for Futuroscope, the ViaDirect software suite uses a wayfinding map exceptionally drawn and displayed in 2D.
The development and the installation of Futuroscope equipment reunited the skills and coordination of a graphic design studio (Dagobert), an outdoor furniture manufacturer (Infinitus), softwares and user interfaces co-developed by ViaDirect and its long time partner on the field: TMM Communication.
ViaDirect has then supported the installation in full coordination with the Futuroscope and TMM Communication teams.
Daily software support and general maintenance are also coordinated between ViaDirect and TMM Communication.
For hardware and software full disclosure, see side note.
